The new minerals laboratory of Bureau Veritas China has been set up in the Xingang Port area of Northern City of Tianjin, which is the largest port of North China and the country’s No.1 coke loading port of approx. 10 million metric tons per annum and also one of the major loading port for coal and iron ore of Northern China. The lab aims to provide professional third party sample preparation and testing services to customers of both domestic and overseas.
Capacity of the lab covers:
Full functional sample preparation, size test and moisture test for coke, coal, iron ore, alloys and chemicals; coke strength test, and other general tests for coal and coke.
The capacity of Bureau Veritas’ minerals services in China has now expanded from on-site sampling and superintendence only to a full spectrum of inspection services, including pre-shipment consultancy/inspection, sample preparation and analysis, and finally sampling and testing upon loading/discharging, as well as loading supervision and cargo weight determination. This means the customers will enjoy professional one-stop inspection, testing and supervision services from BV China.
Along its step-by-step further expansion and development in terms of handling capabilities and testing capacities, the Tianjin Minerals laboratory will serve as a testing centre for minerals and chemicals commodities inspected by Bureau Veritas China.
