Pemex Exploration & Production (Mexico) has awarded Bureau Veritas Mexico a major Conformity Assessment Contract for Certification of "Integral Burgos".

Integral Burgos Asset is PEMEX biggest North exploration and production asset, including pipelines and other various collecting and process facilities.

Its current development includes modification and extension works to be carried out in the states of Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon and Coahuila. These works concern:
        -        Recollecting and transportation pipelines (gas, gasoline and discharge);
        -        Process facilities, including recollection stations, separation batteries, compression stations,
            measurement stations, pumping & injection stations, dehydratation plants;
        -        Gas recollecting modules (5 inlets).

The BV scope of work includes, in view to issue construction certificates:
       -        Review of detailed design drawings including civil engineering/structure
           mechanical, electrical and instrumentation/safety systems;
       -        Review of materials and equipment specifications;
       -        Review of Contractor's procedures (welder and welding, NDT, coating, trenching, ballasting, special works for crossings, hydrostatic testing, cathodic protection...);
       -        Document review of materials and equipment;
       -        Random verification on construction sites in order to check correct application of approved procedures.

This 2-year contract will mobilize 9 Bureau Veritas engineers.
